Cherie Currie is an American singer, songwriter, musician, actress, artist, and producer. She was the lead singer of the rock band The Runaways. Cherie is also known for her solo career and for starring in the movie Foxes.
Cherie is the daughter of Matilda Marie (Harmon), an actress, and Donald Currie. Her identical twin sister is actress and singer Marie Currie.
Cherie’s paternal grandparents were Donald Currie and Leona Watkins (the daughter of Miles Watkins and Margaret Philips). Donald was born in Pennsylvania, to a Scottish father and an English mother. Cherie’s great-grandmother Margaret was born in Pennsylvania, to Welsh parents.
