Doug Burgum is an American entrepreneur and politician. A Republican, he has been Governor of North Dakota, since December 15, 2016. He is the founder of Kilbourne Group and co-founder of Arthur Ventures.
Doug is the son of Katherine and Joseph Boyd Burgum. He is married to Kathryn Helgaas. He has three children with his former wife Katherine Stroker. Doug’s grandfather had founded a grain elevator in Arthur.
